Affiliate Programs Benefit From The (No Longer) Secrets Of Success

According to a recent study, 90 percent of all revenue generated by affiliate programs comes from LESS THAN 10 percent of participating affiliates. That is a scary statistic, because it means the great majority of people are not making their fair share.

So, what is it that tenth guy knows and the other nine of you are missing?

Quite recently a contest was held on the Internet, asking participants in affiliate marketing programs to share ...

Affiliate Profits where there is no risk involved

Isn’t life great when you come across a *sure thing*?

They don’t come around too often but when they do... it’s the greatest feeling in the world isn’t it?

I remember talking to a very successful Internet Marketer once who let me in on a little behind the scenes money making secret ( AND showed me proof that it worked ). As soon as he told me, I knew that it would make me a lot of money as long as I took action on his tip.

You feel great because there is absolutely no doubt in your mind that it works. You saw with your own two eyes that it did.

There is no worries IF it will work - you saw PROOF that it worked... and that my friend feels GREAT.

That’s the exact feeling that you get when using "Affiliate Prophet".

Why is that you ask?

It’s because Affiliate Prophet shows you exactly which keywords are profitable and which ones are sucking you dry. Just dump all the bad keywords and watch your profits soar.

There is also no need to run Affiliate Prophet for months before getting all the information you need to make your decisions because you only need 100 visitors ( notice I said 100 VISITORS and not CLICKS! )

You can also do much more with this amazing piece of software - things like testing all parts of your landing page. Find out which call to action works better or which photos work better or which headlines convert better.

The possibilities are endless ( you can even use it to pinpoint where your sales leaks are on your page )

Vodka martini... shaken not stirred

"Vodka martini... shaken not stirred" is a quote from probably the most famous fictional spy ever... James Bond.

When I was a kid, I would pretend to be James Bond - beat up bad guys and save the world.

I would watch all the 007 movies and imagined that I was James Bond and I would re-enact everything that he did (except the love scenes) because at that age, that kind of stuff is just gross ;-) .

Well that was many moons ago but you know what? - I still like to pretend to be a spy.

I like to "spy" on my COMPETITORS :-) .

Spying on your competitors and figuring out what headlines and keywords they are using to make profits in their business is a great way to guarantee your success as well.

If it works for them, it will work for YOU!

This little piece of advice that I’m giving you today is NOT some kind of secret that only a select few know. It has been repeated many times before and only makes sense if you think about it.

It should also be a given that everyone spies on their successful competitors and uses their profitable keywords and variations of their proven headlines for their own campaigns right?

Sounds good... but NO.

And why don’t more people do it?

Well, mostly because it takes too long to dig up this kind of information on your own or it costs too much money to spend on expensive software programs that gather all this stuff for you.

Until today, that is!

"Affiliate Prophet" is a tool that every Internet Marketer should have if they are looking to cook up some juicy profits with EVERY single one of their ad campaigns.

Affiliate Programs That Are Profitable All Have This Key Element In Common

When I first started, I participated in a number of affiliate programs, but none of them seemed to work. I thought I was doing everything right. I chose products I liked and thought would sell well. I placed eye-catching banners on my web site. I tied the product offers to my own content. But in the long run, I just wasn’t getting enough hits to generate sales. My commissions each month remained in the single and double digits. What was I doing wrong?

The answer, in a word, was “promotion.” Although I was marketing the products of others, I wasn’t promoting my own web site. And oddly enough, this is one of the top mistakes affiliate marketers make.

Here, then, are four things I’ve discovered that successful users of affiliate programs do to promote their web sites, drive traffic and boost revenue. They are quick, easy and inexpensive.

1. Help Search Engines Find You. This means creating relevant page titles, filling in description and keyword META tags on each page, using keywords in headers, hyperlinks and body text, using keywords in the ALT fields and captions of visual images, and submitting your web page URLs to the search engines. All good, basic Search Engine optimization

2. Get Help From Others. Develop a linking strategy, so that links on other sites bring traffic to your site. One aspect of this is submitting your site to directories, such as industry-specific or key-resource directories, such as OpenDirectory.com. Request reciprocal links, write blogs that contain your hyperlinks, and submit articles that link back to your site. Get links and traffic … by getting help from others

3. Don’t Forget Old School. It is amazing how many marketers forget to do the most basic promotion of all, putting their web site URL on their business cards, stationery and printed literature. Similarly, you should develop a signature for your outgoing e-mail that contains a link to your web site, and be sure to include it each time you send out a new email or generate a reply.

4. Get Creative! Why not develop a contest, award program or special promotional offer to increase interest in your site. Exchange ads with another business and cross-promote. Ask visitors to bookmark your site and refer the page to others. Start a newsletter. Use an auto-responder to send bounce-back offers to customers or time-limited offers to first-time visitors. You are limited only by your imagination.

And if all else fails, you may want to spend a little money on that one thing marketers have found to work successfully not only on the Internet, but in any situation where a product or service requires promotion – advertise.

Whether you use pay-per-click, banners or offline communications media, your site is bound to benefit from exposure to a broader audience. And clicks and sales for your affiliate programs are almost certain to follow.

I Almost Fell Off My Chair When I Discovered This!

Listen up because this blog post is about to show you how you can create successful Google Adwords campaigns ( even SAVE your campaigns that are bombing ) and turn them into *cash cows*.

It’s really frustrating when you put in hours, or even days into researching keywords for your Adwords campaigns only to end up spending a lot MORE money on your campaigns than you make in sales.

You are only going to put up with the losses for so long before you pull the plug and try something else. Nobody goes into Internet Marketing to lose money so if your campaigns are not making a profit... common sense tells you to kill them.

Sadly, most of the time all it takes is a few changes in your campaigns to make them a profitable one. The problem is, how much is it going to COST you to find out what will make it profitable?

It can take months of testing to find out which keywords are making you sales and which ones are not - yes you should be tracking your keywords to see which ones people are actually buying through.

You should be keeping an eye out for negative keywords as well. You are just throwing your money away on these because people are not going to buy through you with them.

This all takes an unbelievable amount of time to collect stats, put them on spread sheets and then go through each and every one of them to filter out the keywords that make sales from the ones that just ( waste your hard earned cash ).

What you need... is to figure out a way to have all this done for you in the FASTEST possible time so you can quickly do what you set out to do in the first place...

... make PROFITS.

Now you can do all that.

Find out how here:

Are You Still Being Kept In The Dark?

Most people need some help to get their online marketing schemes up and running. The basics of how these schemes work may not be that hard to understand but actually getting these schemes to work for your site can be a little trickier. If, like so many others at the moment, you are trying this out for the first time then help may be essential here.

Learning as you go along is, I guess, another option. But, to be honest if you’re working blind then it could take you years to assess what will work as a revenue earner on your particular site. Most of the time you’ll simply learn what doesn’t work! Fact is each site, sector and personal expectation here will be different and not all schemes will bring the same results even if they are used in exactly the same way.

So, most people will turn to the Internet for help. At first glance there seems to be plenty of help out there -- there are more e-books available for download on these subjects than you can shake a stick at. The thing they all have in common is the fact that they claim to hold the secret to success in online marketing terms.

You ever purchased one of these e-books? Then I’ll bet my bottom dollar that it didn’t do much for you. If you were lucky and you got a book written by an ethical writer you’ll probably get a lot of theory but not much help in turning this into successful practice. It’s more likely the case that this won’t give you any useful information at all however.

Why is this? Well, it’s all about profits -- and I’m not talking about your profits here -- I’m talking about the profits that the e-book writers make. Despite their claims the majority of writers here have not made money this way themselves so you cannot really expect them to have the skills to help you do it either. Any money they make is made from selling ‘information’.

If you really seriously want to make a success of your affiliate marketing efforts then you’ll get up and running much faster and much more effectively if you get help along the way. I’m not talking about empty e-books -- what you need is affiliate marketing advice from people who have made the system work for them and who can explain how it can work for you. We’re talking in practice here and not just in theory.

There are a LOT of really great links in the sidebar on the left-hand side, so go have a look!

Sex, Drugs And Lazy Internet Millionaires..

A quick note on the fly … I just had to tell you about this. I’ve just finished reading a SHOCKING REPORT that exposes the underbelly of Internet Marketing and the unethical marketing some of them get up to!

First some background. Last year, a 25-year-old "non-guru" named Aymen exploded onto the Internet marketing scene, and totally shook things up.

His story was almost too crazy to be true:

5 Guidelines for Successful Use of Affiliate Programs On Your Website

Do you feel overwhelmed by all the information on line about affiliate programs? How do you sort it all out, figure out what really works?  What is it that will really convert browsers into shoppers?

As part of the answer to some of these concerns and questions, here are 5 tips for the successful marketing of affiliate programs on your website:

1. Avoid the use of frames — frames are a BAD idea, in terms of Search Engine Optimization, and the way your site generally works, so don’t use them.  Especially for affiliate ads, it is highly advised that you NOT position the ad in a frame. It can cause all sorts of issues and may result in your prospect not reaching the location you want them to.

2.  Don't overcrowd the site with too many adverts, and not enough quality and informative content. Most unsuccessful ads are unsuccessful because they are on a page with too many others. Be reasonable about how many affiliate ads you run on any page. Also, avoid pop-up, flashy and showy ads. They annoy your customers, who will think you care of nothing but making a quick buck. Any ads you do run should appear to be a natural part of the site, and only on the site only to serve your wants or needs of your guests.  They should intermingle easily with the page content.

3.  Pick affiliate ads that fit with the overall purpose of your website.  The ads should match the sites' content.  Be creative, but keep in mind how a reader might feel about an ad.  Let’s say your site is for continuing education for teachers.  Ads that could fit could be books on personal growth, tours to foreign countries, advanced degree programs, tutoring and training supplies.  Some that would clash with the site, and therefore be a less appropriate match could be: cosmetics, weight loss, telemarketing jobs, online dating. Now whilst the prospect MAY be interested in these alternatives you are better to focus your site and the adverts you show on them. You get the idea.  On the other hand if your site was for women's fashion, then weight loss, dating and cosmetics could more easily fit, as would foreign travel.

4. Make changes in ads after you have tested them, if you are not getting the results you want. Try moving, rewording, resizing, or a different color or font.  Then monitor the results again. If this still doesn't achieve what you want, try something else.

5. Stay away from “questionable” content. Seriously, this type of material will downgrade your credibility. Avoiding it assures your site will come up higher on search engines.

To learn more tips for success in affiliate programs, and many other secrets used by the millionaires in the internet marketing world, look at the many quality solutions available to you on the internet. There are sites that will teach you how to use blogs, more about affiliate programs, and all the other methods of successful internet marketing as well.

What Happens BEFORE They Click?

Want to know something really important? You CAN have an affect a prospect’s likelihood of buying the products or services you promote through affiliate programs. It’s not all down to luck … it’s down to what happens BEFORE they click.

The technique is called “pre-selling” and it works no matter what’s being offered, when or by whom. So it can work for you.

In its simplest form, pre-selling means warming a prospect up to an offer long before the offer is actually made to them. This includes planting seeds of interest and desire. It means getting the would-be customer to begin picturing a positive outcome before introducing what you are selling … as a step in the process of getting there.

Some marketers call this process “future pacing.” You paint a picture of the prospect’s world after they have purchased the product, free of pain, full of leisure, comfort, wealth, relief, happiness, and security. Or whatever is relevant to the product.

Appeals to the heart work even better than logic to predispose a person to a purchase. In this case you don’t need to mention features or benefits. Simply inspire feelings of goodwill.

How exactly do you accomplish this, you may ask?

With CONTENT. Rather than relying on an ad, banner or link – whose job it is to transport visitors to the merchant’s site –   you develop your own stories and anecdotes that shift their moods BEFORE they click through.

Such content is best if it is based upon your own experiences, of course. That gives it credibility, builds trust, and initiates a personal relationship between you and the person you are referring. Don’t be afraid to be honest and to express emotions, hopes and dreams. The more you share, the more likely you are to strike a sympathetic chord.

As an example, if you are selling links to a survey-taking program, don’t hide your initial skepticism or the failures you may have encountered before. Share that information with your prospect. Such honesty will be appreciated and get your visitors nodding in agreement, especially if they have been burned themselves. Tell them directly what you wanted, why you were disappointed, and how hard you tried to make it work.

Then, describe your relief and elation upon finding what you sought. Show them in words what a good space you are in now.  Express how much you want others to share in your joy.

Get the idea? The more you open up, the more believable your message will be.

Remember, you are not selling anything at this point. You are simply creating a mental and emotional environment in which the real sale can take place. Then, when your referrals click through, the odds of converting them into customers on the merchant’s site will have increased dramatically.

Pre-sell … and greater affiliate commissions will follow. Guaranteed!
